What is CAPITAL SUPPORTS funding?

Capital supports funding is to use towards higher-cost, one-off purchases of assistive technology, equipment and home or vehicle modifications.

Budget support categories in Core:

This is the LEAST flexible budget as you must use the funding as it's outlined in your plan.
The categories include
  1. Category 5 - Assistive technology
  2. Category 6 - Home modification
As of November 2023, the NDIS added and updated two NEW categories under the CAPITAL budget:
    1. Category 17 (NEW) - Specialist Disability Accomodation
    2. Category 19 (NEW) - Assistive technology repairs, maintenance and replacement (AT repairs)
