What is Transport funding?
This category of funding (Category 2) is support that helps you travel to work or other places that will help you pursue the goals in your plan. Cost of taxis, rideshares or other private transport, if you can’t use public transport without great difficulty because of your disability
This funding falls under a NEW support budget called RECURRING. This is designed to be paid to your from the NDIS directly on a recurring basis, such as fortnightly - directly into your bank account.
This category appears in the NDIA myPlace portal as 'Transport'.

How much do these supports cost?
The level of funding you receive for transport will be dependant on your work and home situation, and not all plans have funding for travel/transport included.

Level 1: If you do not work, study or attend a day program. You could also get level 1 support if you would like to join in activities or volunteer in your community.

What if my transport costs more?
You will need to discuss this with your NDIA planner or LAC, or get in touch on 1800 800 110 if there is a change in circumstances.
What if I do not have funding for these supports in my plan?
If your plan has not included funding for these suppots, and you feel this is reasonable & necessary for your disability needs, you will need to get in touch with your NDIA planner or LAC directly, or call NDIA on 1800 800 110 to discuss a plan review or your options for funding.
