What happens when I run out of funds?

What happens when I run out of funds?

Once your NDIS funding has run out in a support category we are unable to make any claims or pay invoices on your behalf for those supports.

If you use your funding before your plan ends, you will need to contact the NDIA to request a plan review (a few weeks before your funds run out). This is why it is very important to stay up to date with your budget.

Your NDIS funding sits with the NDIS, not us (your plan manager), and our job is to ensure the claims are being paid as outlined in your plan and within the NDIS guidelines.

Just remember, while we are hear to guide you and provide financial advice around your NDIS budget, it is your responsibility to make sure you are keeping up to date with your spending and that you reach out the NDIA well before you run out of funds to avoid being left without funding or supports in place.

Read our top tips below for how you can make sure you are spending on track:

How can I track my spending to make sure I don't run out of funds?

  1. Check your monthly statements - you will receive these on the 1st of every month via email. If you would like to have a copy mailed to your home address simply let our team know via email or call 1300 599 770.

Please go through these statements and ensure all claims and providers are familiar and get in touch with your plan manager if you have any questions. You can also download and view your latest statements at any time via the Plan Hero claim dashboard - click 'View my statement below'

  2.
