What does an NDIA planner do?

When you go into your NDIS Planning meeting you will either be assigned an NDIS Planner or an LAC to support you during the planning meeting process.

An NDIS Planner is a person who works directly with an individual with a disability to develop their NDIS plan. They are responsible for guiding the individual through the planning process, assessing their needs, identifying their goals, and determining what supports and services are required to achieve those goals. The NDIS Planner also helps people to prepare their plan and ensures that it aligns with their goals and needs.

The NDIS Planner CAN approve the NDIS plan but does not provide the same support as an LAC when it comes to connecting with local supports as well.
